Fries Recreation Center is located in downtown
Fries, VA near the banks of the New River,
and is home to many different
sports, educational, and community activities
available to the citizens of Grayson and Carroll Counties,
as well as the City of Galax, VA

The services of the Fries Rec Center include:

Youth sports programs for age 4-18

Red Cross approved swimming lessons for all ages

A Nutritional Site for senior citizens
of Carroll and Grayson Counties

Meeting areas with access
to kitchen and dining facilities

Areas available to rent for dances,
birthday parties, and other events

A full service library
including a computer lab

A well appointed weight room with
a full complement of
Nautilus machines and free weights

A separate cardio room with
tread mills, elliptical machines,
stair climbers, and a tread climber

A sparkling outdoor pool
overlooking the New River
